I dropped my ipod about 3 feet on carpet earlier and it kinda hit a shoe rack, but now the display is stuck. However, it wasn’t like that right after I dropped that. I’ve tried the reset. Any other ideas?

i was making a small entertainment unit for of thing in my woodwork class, and i have almost finished it.
however, i have almost finished year 10 so i have to apply a finish myself.
i was wondering if there were any good easy and cheap ways to finish a piece of furniture at home with no current supplies.
the timber used through out the whole piece is just pine wood.

I have already tried to vacuum the house with a new vacuum on a new wall to wall carpet but the new carpet continues to develop little balls of carpet fluff or lint. The first time I vacuumed the carpet the vacuum was compacted with the lint and then wasn’t able to get any more things out of the carpet.

Is there something that I need to do with a new carpet? is there a tool used to clean up the carpet lint? Should I use a different setting to vacuum the carpet? Is there a vacuum rating I need to get the carpet clean?

The carpet is super short and rough, perfect for a scratch pad for her. When she scratches it to death, it doesn’t damage it at all. If I replaced that carpet with a longer, softer, nylon carpet, would that type of carpet get torn to shreds? I don’t want to pay a bunch of money for new carpet on my stairs if my cat ends up making it look yucky by scratching it to death.
I don’t mind her scratching my stairs, rather there than my furniture!! Just wouldn’t want new carpet ruined if I decided to replace the existing carpet.

he wants to keep them in the boxes and stack them up like we live at foot locker and i am tired of it. he is obssesed with footwear and it is cluttery he don’t even wear half of them. and he is doing the same to my son he has 9 pairs of sneakers and he is 14 months and his feet grow fast and i tell him don’t but too many he won’t get alot of wear out of them wait until he grows out of them but he wants to get him more and i said buy him some toys or something! i feel surrounded and it is driving me crazy!
it seems to me he likes clutter and i can’t lay down at night and sleep comfortably when things are out of order i try to block it out but all around the bedroom it is like foot locker and inside i am going crazy i have all my shoes neatly placed on shoe racks but his are making the room look trashy and we just got a new bedroom set and it is really bothering me!
