Josie asked:
Okay so, We have an almost 1 year old german shepard/pit bull puppy and he chews on our recliner chair and our couch. He only does it when we aren't home, he has plenty of toys but he prefers our furniture more i'm guessing. Is there anything we can do? before he destroys the rest of our furniture?
We've tried crating, he's broken down the crate and gotten out.
We don't neglect him, we give him the right amount of attention.

Any ideas? My couch is a very light tan color and he sits on it and licks himself and leaves stains on it. Any ideas on how to keep him off the furniture will help. I tried the stay-off spray and it didn't help.

We have even smacked him on the bum with the flip-flop out of desperation, (ye..........................

Need answers asked:
She has plenty of toys but she still wants our shoes. I understand she wants them probably because the shoes smell like us and she is still teething. Do any of you know of a shoe rack that has a cover? It's most convenient for us to have our shoes in the livingroom by the door and we are a household that takes off our shoes in the house. I saw a few on the target website but they received bad reviews.

While they won't be eating the cleaner, they will be lying on the carpet, breathing fumes, and may occasionally lick the carpet. (Sigh.)
The carpet is too dirty for plain baking soda to help much.
I welcome your answers; please let me know if you have used the method yourself.
