How can I safely remove the furniture polish stain off my pointe shoes?

Serenity asked: My teacher told me to apply furniture polish on the soft areas inside my pink satin capezio pointe shoes. Although I was very careful not to polish the outsides, there appears to be some small and big polish stains on the vamp, box, and other areas.
